    BERG Germany Luggage – Warranty Policy

    Warranty Coverage

    You are not required to register your BERG Germany Luggage product online to qualify for warranty coverage. To submit a claim, your product must meet the conditions outlined in this policy and must not fall under the listed exclusions.

    If your product is not registered online, you must provide proof of purchase from an authorized BERG Germany Luggage retailer. Your original purchase receipt will be required to validate the claim.

    You may choose to register your product online for your convenience through our official website for global warranty tracking.

    Our warranty reflects this commitment, offering you peace of mind when you travel.


    Warranty Against Manufacturing Defects

    This warranty applies exclusively to the original purchaser or gift recipient. Depending on the product line, BERG Germany Luggage offers the following warranty coverage (calculated from the date of purchase and indicated on product tags or documentation):

    • Limited Lifetime Warranty – Covers manufacturing defects in:

      • Wheels

      • Zippers

      • Extension handles

      • Carry handles

    • 10-Year Limited Warranty – Covers manufacturing defects in the above components.

    • 5-Year Limited Warranty – Covers manufacturing defects in the above components.

    • 2-Year Limited Warranty – Covers defects in materials or workmanship that negatively affect the functional performance of the product.

    Please keep your purchase receipt and warranty documentation, as these will be required to exercise your warranty rights.


    Warranty Evaluation & Service Process

    To process a warranty claim, your product must be inspected by an Authorized BERG Germany Luggage Repair Center.

    You are responsible for:

    • Shipping or delivering the product to the repair center.

    • All packaging, shipping, and applicable taxes.

    After inspection, one of the following outcomes will apply:

    1. Covered & Repairable – The product will be repaired or replaced at no cost, including return shipping.

    2. Covered but Not Repairable – If a replacement is required but the exact model is unavailable, we will provide a comparable replacement at no additional cost.

    3. Not Covered but Repairable – You may choose to pay for repairs and shipping, or have the product returned unrepaired at your expense.

    4. Not Covered & Not Repairable – You may request return shipping (at your expense) or authorize us to responsibly dispose of the item.

    We recommend shipping your product with a carrier that provides tracking information.


    Warranty Exclusions

    Our warranty covers manufacturing defects only and does not apply to:

    • Normal wear and tear (abrasions, scratches, dents, stains).

    • Damage caused by accidents, neglect, misuse, or abuse.

    • Damage caused by third parties (e.g., airlines, hotels).

    • Exposure to extreme weather, liquids, or chemicals.

    • Products that have been modified without written authorization.

    • Products with removed, defaced, or mismatched serial numbers.

    Electronic Component Exclusions

    If your luggage includes electronic components (such as USB chargers or smart locks), the warranty does not cover:

    • Improper use or unauthorized modifications.

    • Use of non-BERG parts.

    • Repairs by unauthorized service providers.

    • Improper installation of third-party products.

    • Batteries (including lithium-ion batteries) and battery life.


    Important Notes

    • Labor charges for repairs performed by non-authorized centers are not covered.

    • Product locks are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot guarantee theft prevention.

    • If damage occurs during transit, file a claim directly with the carrier before clearing customs.


    Limitation of Warranty

    This warranty is the exclusive remedy and is provided in place of all other warranties, expressed or implied, including warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.

    BERG Germany Luggage does not guarantee that a repaired or replaced product will have the exact appearance or features of the original product, but we will make every effort to provide a comparable solution.


    Limitation of Liability

    BERG Germany Luggage shall not be held responsible for direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of contents, time, revenue, or business — resulting from product defects, even if foreseeable.


    Ownership of Replaced Items

    Any product or part replaced under warranty becomes the property of BERG Germany Luggage. If a refund is issued, the returned product also becomes our property.
